How to Root and Install Custom Recovery on Honor 4X and Ascend G620S
Today i will guide on How to Root and Install TWRP Recovery on Honor 4x. To Install a recovery you need to follow this post very carefully. Read all the below steps properly. If you don’t understand leave a comment. We will quickly get back to you. So first we will guide you on How to Install Recovery TWRP on Honor 4x and then we will guide on to flash root.
Step 1: First enable USB debugging from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
Step 5: Type this command correctly in command prompt without quotes “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” and then press enter. It starts flashing recovery on your phone.
Step 6: Now type “fastboot boot recovery.img“ in command prompt it will reboot your phone into recovery mode.Now you successfully installed custom recovery on Honor 4X.
Step 7: You are in recovery mode now. In TWRP recovery navigate to Install Zip and select ‘SuperSu.zip’.

Note:-

Files required: –
- Download and install Universal ADB driver for Honor 4/4X if above doesn’t work.
- Download TWRP Recovery for Honor 4x and 4 play and place it in the folder where ADB installed and rename it to ‘recovery.img’.
- Download SuperSu to root Honor 4/4x and copy it to your phone sd card.
How to Root and Install Custom Recovery on Honor 4X and Ascend G620S
Step 1: First enable USB debugging from setting>developer option>. To enable Developer Options, go to About phone and tap the Build Number 7 times.
Step 2: Now go to installation directory open ADB folder and open the command window thereby pressing and hold the ‘shift’ key and right-clicked anywhere in that folder.
Step 3: Now connect your phone to PC and reboot the device into fastboot mode by typing “adb reboot bootloader”.
Step 4: In command prompt type “fastboot devices” and hit enter, it gives you serial numbers in return means your phone connect properly otherwise check the device driver again.
Step 5: Type this command correctly in command prompt without quotes “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img” and then press enter. It starts flashing recovery on your phone.
Step 6: Now type “fastboot boot recovery.img“ in command prompt it will reboot your phone into recovery mode.Now you successfully installed custom recovery on Honor 4X.
Step 7: You are in recovery mode now. In TWRP recovery navigate to Install Zip and select ‘SuperSu.zip’.
Step 8: Swipe to install SuperSu and reboot your device. That’s it, you root and install custom recovery on Honor 4X or 4 play or Ascend G620S successfully.

Today we are going to learn how to install CyanogenMod 13.0 Android 6.0 Marshmallow on Huawei Ascend G620S. We have done a step by step guide so even if you haven’t installed a ROM before and don’t know anything from ROMs and how they work, you be able to do it. Without further ado let’s jump into the guide how update Huawei Ascend G620S to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow using CM 13.
Warning: We shall not held any kind of responsibility for troubles you may experience on your phone. This is not an official ROM but it is tested and works fine except NFC. The developer says it will be fixed soon. However according to users who have tried this ROM it works fine. I don’t think NFC is a feature you use in daily life.
preparations
- First of all CM 13 Android 6.0 Marshmallow you are going to find here is only for Huawei Ascend G620S. To check you phone version go to Settings > About Device. There you can find all the information about your device.
- You should have TWRP v2.8.6.0 installed on your phone. It will be needed to flash and wipe everything and than install the ROM.
- If you have installed TWRP we recommend you to do a Nandroid backup. It’s easy and you will have your phone files and data saved somewhere else and you can easily restore them.
- Charge your phone at least to 60% so you will be sure it won’t shut down unexpectedly during the ROM installation. Otherwise you may end in soft bricking your device.

How to install CyanogenMod (CM 13) Android 6.0 MArshmallow on Huawei Ascend G620S
- Take your phone and press the power button to turn it off.
- Using the proper key combination boot your phone into recovery.
- Perform a Nandroid backup and then go back to Recovery main menu.
- Wipe everything, Cache, Data, Dalvik Cache and System.
- Navigate to install and flash the CM 13 ROM.
- Wait for the ROM being installed and go back to main menu.
- Flash Android 6.0 Gapps.
- Wipe Cache and Dalvik and then reboot your phone.
The first boot may take more than usually because the phone needs to configure the files for fisrt time use. Usually it won’t take more than a couple of minutes. Once it’s turned on your Huawei Ascend will be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

Prerequisitos:
1. Asegúrese de tener los drivers de ADB y Fastboot. Si usted ya los ha usado con anterioridad no requiere hacer este paso.
2. Descargue mini-sdk.rar y descomprima y copie la carpeta mini-sdk en la siguiente ruta c: (debe quedar así c:mini-sdk)
3. Descargue TWRP-2.4.4.0_P1.zip, extraiga el archivo recovery.img y copie en la siguiente ruta c:mini-sdk
Importante: Toda Operación de Flasheo puede potencialmente dejar su teléfono como un ladrillo inservible (Brick). Cada quien procede a su propio riesgo. Si algo sale mal, si ocurre un terremoto, si se despierta un antiguo Balrog o si ocurre el apocalipsis, no es mi culpa.
Pasos
Importante: Toda Operación de Flasheo puede potencialmente dejar su teléfono como un ladrillo inservible (Brick). Cada quien procede a su propio riesgo. Si algo sale mal, si ocurre un terremoto, si se despierta un antiguo Balrog o si ocurre el apocalipsis, no es mi culpa.
Pasos
1. Conecte el Ascend P1 al PC con el cable USB y espere que se carguen los drivers de windows.
2. Asegúrese de marcar la opción de Depuración USB (en Configuración/Opciones de Desarrollador)
3. Abra una ventana de comandos DOS en Windows (Start / Run ) escriba cmd y presione Enter)
Navegue hasta la carpeta donde copió mini-sdk. Escriba en la ventana de comandos:
cd c:mini-sdk
4. Escriba en la ventana de comandos ADB reboot bootloader y presione ENTER . (asegúrese que el teléfono tenga la pantalla encendida y desbloqueada). El teléfono se reiniciará con el logo rojo de Huawei:
5. Escriba en la ventana de comandos: fastboot boot recovery.img y presione ENTER .
Con este comando, entrará en un modo Recovery temporal. Es muy importante que haga un Nandroid backup completo de la ROM Original de su Huawei, antes de Rootearla o modificarla:
6. Al entrar en Recovery, seleccione Backup y marque las opciones System, Data, Boot y Recovery y deslice el dedo donde dice "Swipe to Back Up"
NOTA: Es importante aclarar, que hasta este punto usted solo ha hecho un backup de su equipo. ES DECIR, TODAVÍA ESTÁ ORIGINAL Y NO LO HA MODIFICADO,
7. Después que haya hecho backup, TWRP le preguntará si desea rootear su equipo: "Swipe to Install" ( Ahora si modificará su sistema original)
8. Al reiniciar, entre en SuperSU y seleccione la opción Play para actualizarlo con la última versión desde Google Play:
9. Al actualizar, abra nuevamente SuperSU y le pedirá actualizar el binario, seleccione Continuar y en la siguiente pantalla seleccione Normal:
10. Usted ya es ROOT
11. Si desea tener el TWRP permanentemente, vuelva a entrar en modo bootloader (paso 4) y escriba en la ventana de comandos: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Con este paso usted ya tendrá el TWRP flasheado de forma permanente en su equipo. Si necesitara retornar a su recovery original, puede restaurar el Nandroid Backup que hizo en el paso 6.
Es ampliamente recomendable que guarde el Backup que realizó, en su PC o en un disco externo.
