How to Fix com android phone has stopped

How to Fix com android phone has stopped

Android is preferably the most used smartphone operating system. Perhaps because of its interface and the advanced features it supports. But in spite of having so many superior features, Android also brings some complex technical issues which require specific troubleshooting options. One of the similar issue is the “Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped” or “unfortunately dialer has stopped working“, which might occur due to several reasons. Today, in this post, we will discuss about this problem and how to troubleshoot it in the simplest ways.

Fix com.android.phone has stopped

Method 1

Reset the Phone App on your Android device. To do this, open the Settings. From the settings interface locate "Application Manager" and tap on it. In the Application Manager, switch/swipe to the tab "All" and then search for "Phone". Tap on it to open the app information. Remember, com.android.phone apk is "Phone" or some variant of the word in the apps section. Now from here, do the following:

  1. Tap Force stop

  2. Now, Clear data

  3. And the, Clear cache

Now, restart your Android smartphone. The error "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" is gone. If not, then repeat the above steps but, this time instead of com.android.phone apk, do it for the SIM Toolkit app.

Method 2

Reset the SIM Toolkit App on your Android device. To do this, open the Settings. From the settings interface locate "Application Manager" and tap on it. In the Application Manager, switch/swipe to the tab "All" and then search for "SIM Toolkit". Tap on it to open the app information. Now from here, do the following:

  1. Tap Force stop

  2. Now, Clear data

  3. And the, Clear cache

Now, restart your Android smartphone. The error "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" should now resolve itself.

How to install Android Marshmallow on HTC One M8 via Blues custom ROM

How to install Android Marshmallow on HTC One M8 via Blues custom ROM

Custom ROM developer Blues has released the Android Marshmallow-based firmware to HTC One (M8).
HTC device owners who are bored with Sense UI and want to explore different interface on One M8 can try installing the Blues custom ROM.

Blues firmware offers visually appealing interface with coloured Navbar, network traffic monitor, performance tweaks and numerous other value-added features.

Prerequisites (things to remember before installing Custom ROM)
  • Though installing custom ROM improves the devices performance and UI experiences, it makes the company warranty void; the company will no longer be liable to provide updates in future [users can restore warranty by flashing the device with stock-ROM].
  • Make sure the device is rooted before going ahead with custom ROM installation.
  • Installation of custom ROM requires clearing memory in the phone, so make sure to back all the data by installing Clockwork Mod (CWM) Recovery/TWRP in the smartphone.
  • Make sure USB driver is installed in the PC or else your device (HTC One M8) will not be recognised by the computer.
  • Make sure your device has more than 80% battery.

Disclaimer: droidupdatez cannot be held responsible for any damage or claims from readers if the procedure does not yield the required results or if the smartphone is bricked. Hence, users are advised to proceed with caution.

Step-by-step installation procedure of Blues Android Marshmallow custom ROM on HTC One M8:

Step 1: After downloading Blues Android Marshmallow custom ROM and Google Apps in to the PC, connect HTC One M8 to the Computer via USB cord
  • HTC One (M8) Blues Android Marshmallow custom ROM: HERE
  • Google Apps: HERE
Step 2: Place Android 6.0 Marshmallow custom ROM zip file and Google Apps file into the phones SD card memory

[Note: Users are advised to paste the .zip file in SD card root, not in any other folder]

[Note: Before installing the custom software, be sure that the device must have been rooted and has installed ClockworkMod Recovery tool]
Step 3: Place boot.img file in the android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools directory
Step 4: Turn off the device and disconnect from the PC
Step 5: Perform the regular Bootloader mode sortie, by press holding Volume (down), and Power buttons
Step 6: After entering the Bootloader mode (on the phone), go to android-sdk-windowsplatform-tools (on the PC) and open Command prompt and type in: fastboot flash boot boot.img and press enter
(To enter Command prompt: Shift + right-click >> open command Prompt)
Step 7: Type: fastboot reboot and follow instructions displayed on the screen. Select BOOTLOADER option to enter Recovery Mode
Step 8: Once entering the Recovery mode, clear the phone memory, by choosing wipe data/factory reset
[Note: use Volume keys to navigate and power button to select options, while operating under Recovery Mode]
Step 9: Clear the cache memory by selecting wipe cache partition
Step 10: Return to the ClockworkMod recovery, and select advanced and tap wipe dalvik cache
[Note: This step is optional, but many recommend this procedure so that user will not face boot loops or any other errors in the middle of custom ROM installation]
Step 11: Navigate back to the main recovery screen and then tap install zip from SD card
Step 13: Tap choose zip from sdcard and go to Android 6.0 Marshmallow ROM .zip file in SD card and enter the installation process. Repeat the procedure for installing Google Apps
[Note: use Volume keys to navigate and Power button to select options]
Step 14: Once done with the installation process, navigate to +++++Go Back+++++ and re-start the device by opting reboot system now seen in the recovery menu
Now, your device (HTC One M8) will take at a few minutes to complete the booting process
Users then head to Settings >> select About phone to confirm the installation of Blues Android Marshmallow custom ROM

Open Hardware y Android

Open Hardware y Android

Android App Pepsi launched PepsiMoji Keyboard

Android App Pepsi launched PepsiMoji Keyboard

Emoji have become a part of everyday conversation. While sarcasm and other emotions are better conveyed through the spoken word, emoji seem to be doing a good job in getting the message across otherwise. In an attempt to get users to express themselves through feelings, Pepsi has launched an Android and iOS keyboard that lets people communicate via emoji.

With the app downloaded from the AppStore or the Play Store installed, the first step is to enable it. While it usually involves fiddling with the language and input settings on your device, tapping on the app icon simplifies things. The app opens to show the words "Get Started" displayed in bold, friendly letters, which upon tapping redirects to the page from where the keyboard can be selected. The next time the words "Select Keyboard" appear, tapping which allows users to select the new keyboard.

he app is just like a lot of the other emoji keyboards that have been appearing in the market, except of course this has the Pepsi branding all over it. Well, some of them have subtle branding, but of course when you’re downloading something called #PepsiMoji, you probably know what you’re in for. Once you’ve installed the app, you will be able to copy paste the emojis onto any app that allows image pasting, like Hangouts ,WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, etc.

There are just 35 emojis inside the app, but not all of them are just logos of the soda brand of course. You have designs that give off the summer vibe, with sunglasses and BBQs, as well as some sports emojis as well, like football, cricket, surfing. We don’t know yet if more emojis will be added, but we hope so, since 35 seems to be too few for an emoji keyboard app.

The #SayItWithPepsi campaign has actually been launched in Australia, Russia, Canda, and Thailand, with other countries probably following suit. The #Pepsimoji app is available for free from the Google Play Store, with in-app purchases available.

1. Display Consumes the Largest Part
Your mobile screen consumes a lot more power than any other application/process. Don’t toggle the display again and again. Try to keep the display off when your battery is low, this will make it last longer.

2. Reduce Screen Brightness
As screen consumes a lot of power, you must keep the brightness to the least level.Low brightness low consumption!
3. Stop Wireless Communication
Turn on mobile data, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth and GPS only when you need them. All of these consume a lot of power and should be kept off all the time.It save a lot of energy!
4. Give Preference To WiFi
If you can have access to a WiFi network, then you must use it instead of mobile data. Mobile data consumes much more power than WiFi and hence should always be avoided.
5. Turn Off Auto Sync
Most applications you install sync files with their servers after every set interval. The syncing process should be run manually and for only the app you want to sync data for.
6. Use a Minimum Number of Widgets
Widgets use power to be live and to display the changes. They are always working in the background. You should not use many widgets together. It will save the battery and increase it timing.
7. Don’t Use Live Wallpapers
Live wallpaper are very power greedy and drain your Android mobile’s battery very fast. You should turn them off when you want to squeeze some more time out of your battery, or better, don’t use them.
8. Kill Applications Manually or Using Some Task Killer Application
When you leave an application, it continues to run in the background. This is done to reduce the time it takes to start-up, and give you a better experience. But being in RAM they all consume battery. Either end them using your phones task manager or use some third-party application. It will also save a lot of enerhy by cancel the unwanted applications.
9. Use Black Background
If your phone has an AMOLED screen, then you must use some black image as a background. This will reduce the battery consumption for display manifolds. Also choose a dark theme if possible.Black uses low brightness and it saves energy!
10.Setting Screen Timeout to the Least Value
Screen timeout is the duration after which your screen’s backlight goes off, when left untouched. Setting it to a lesser value will save battery of your Android phone.
11. Turn off Haptic Feedback
Haptic feedback is a phenomenon by which your phone gives a feedback in the form of vibration when you touch the screen. Though this is helpful while typing, but it consumes high resources. You should turn it off to save your phone’s battery.
12. Activate The Power Saving Mode
You must activate power saving mode whenever you are not playing gamesor running some resource extensive app. The power saving mode by default limits the CPU usage, decreases the screen’s brightness, disables the data connection whenever the screen is off and turns off the haptic feedback. Precisely, this does most of the things you need to save battery of your Android phone.
13. Restrict Background Data
Many application like Gmail, Google PlayStore and many others collect and send data to their servers in the background. This drains your battery at a very faster speed. To stop this you can restrict the data usage by enabling it from “Settings > Data Usage“, then click on options and select “Restrict background data“.
14. Don’t Install Resource Intensive Apps
There are many apps that use huge resources, you can figure them out by navigating to “Settings > Battery” on a Samsungmobile. This will show you all the programs & Android services that are using up the battery. You can use this feature to monitor high battery drainer apps and then get rid of them.
15. Update Apps
App Developers are always working on their apps to make them better, faster, more interactive and make them use less resources. They always try to make them consume less battery power. So always keep your apps updated. This willsave the battery life time and keep your cell up to date!
