I am trying to root my lg g4, I began the steps of unlocking the bootloader, downloaded the adb.exe etc, however when I type adb reboot bootloader into the command prompt whilst attempting to fetch my device id, it says device not found.. id be really greatful if somebody could walk me through this process. (thanks in advance)

Droid:

• LG
• G3
• D850
• Stock MM (up until the botched root)

Issues:

• No Boot
• No Recovery
• No Download

However when I attempt to put in recovery mode, the LED on the phone flashes blue and orangeish-red (I dont know, maybe Im color blind), and the device manager pops up with a driver called QHSUSB_BULK that is corrupted. I believe the cause of this was the attempted root with KingRoot (success), then AutoRecMM (apparent failure) for the D850. Not quite sure what happened, but when the reboot happened I tried to put it into recovery, and no dice, just experienced the lights and the corrupted driver installation. Ive been looking for days and havent found anything because all fixes required Fast Boot, Recovery, Download, or open access from the phone for ADB. I know the large majority of the users on XDA are far more knowledgeable than I am about fixing "bricked" phones, so please if any one can help Id greatly appreciate it. Thanks fellas.

First download the minimal flash tools install them Download the package below link or download recovery img from it place it in the folder or minimal fastboot tool
press vol down and power key on phone it ill show fastboot comant mode connect it to usb cable make sure drivers are Installed
now type the comand
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
after flash type fastboot reboot
now your phone will goto download mode unplug the cable and battery now put bater back in and phone will start up normally if your rom is fine else install rom search on google

Repairing bricked LG F160K is easy with the RIFF Box. The device is based on the Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset.
Note, one simple way to connect over JTAG – connect USB cable to PC and insert battery. In this case phone is automatically powered on.
To resurrect LG F160K:
Solder JTAG cable to LG F160K JTAG pads;
Connect USB cable to phone and PC;
Insert battery;
Make sure LG F160K is selected in the list of models;
Click Resurrect button;
Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
Disconnect USB cable, de-solder JTAG wires;
Now phone is in bootable condition, that is, even if it does not start up normally, you can flash it using original Samsung downloader software to restore it to the working state.
